HISTORY TALK: NORFOLK – THE ARMISTICE AND AFTER

Exploring the closing year of The First World War, the Armistice of 11 November 1918 and its impact on Norfolk people on the front line and at home. The talk includes an overview of the battalions of The Norfolk Regiment in the latter years of the War, Norfolk’s war hospitals, persistent invasion scares, Zeppelin raiders, the changing roles of women in war, Tank Weeks and legacies of war from veterans groups to War Memorials. Presented by Neil R. Storey, one of Norfolk’s foremost historians, leading light in numerous First World War centenary projects. This talk features unseen images from Neil’s nationally respected archive. If you want to discover more about Norfolk and the centenary of the end of ‘the war to end all wars’ this is not to be missed.
