A young man’s journey through the care system, brought to life by young actors
22nd May 2019
‘Kinder Shores’ is a newly-written one-act play by local writer Steve Banks. It explores the modern child-care system and the lives that it shapes. Based on true events, our young cast (12-17yrs) tackle the sometimes funny, sometimes heart-breaking and all too often forgotten issues facing some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
The play lasts approximately one hour and is followed by an informal discussion with cast members, the writer, child-care professionals and real-life care-leavers. The discussion will be in the Hub after the theatre show and is optional.
We do hope we can fill as many seats as possible to support this worthwhile piece of work and the hard-working young actors bringing it to life.
