About Us

Sheringham Little Theatre

In normal times … throughout the year Sheringham Little Theatre serves up a varied menu of arts events for all.

Our stage hosts fun farce, spine-tingling suspense, singalong musicals, and family panto, while movies, and top national arts events are beamed on to big screen. Cosy café-style comedy and jazz are staged in the coffee bar.

Things are different now in the pandemic, but we’ll keep you updated.

Dont Dress For Dinner Girls!

The theatre is renowned for being one of the last remaining outposts of a summer theatre season, offering a handful of plays using a small team of talented professional actors. In 2020 we will mark celebrating the diamond 60-year milestone of these special shows.

Beauty and The Beast

Our panto is also a big draw for families across north Norfolk – mixing a professional cast with local talent and some stunning special effects – all in the intimate atmosphere of our welcoming auditorium.

We are a community theatre, and we like to get the community involved in our shows – from local “am drams” to our own youth groups staging drama and musicals.

And our Hub café provides a popular watering hole for people to drop in for snacks, light lunches, cakes and cuppas – as well as pre show suppers at some events – all in friendly surroundings with a theatrical flavour.

Debbie Thompson with the People's Choice award

Twice in the past three years we have won a People’s Choice title in the Norfolk Arts awards after a public vote.

We are proud of that achievement – and our busy year-round programme of professional and amateur arts event aimed at providing something for everyone.

For a “little” venue, we pack a lot in.
