People’s generosity with gifts of their time and money keeps the Little Theatre going.

We live in a world of reducing local authority grant help, so the theatre relies on public support to balance the books.

That can be attending shows, having a cuppa in the Hub, sponsorship, or helping as a volunteer.

But we also get donations – to help with general running costs, or specific appeals.

Public fundraising – mainly through “bucket collections” has helped pay some of the cost of the seat refurbishment coming in early 2019, and was further boosted by people “buying” seats with minimum £150 donations – which earns a name plaque on the seat back.

But we have also had people leave us money in their wills – often people who have enjoyed attending the theatre are keen to “leave us a little something” as a legacy. While we are sad to lose these supporters from our audiences, we are grateful for their gifts on their passing.

If you would like to make a donation to the theatre, or include us in your will please contact theatre director Debbie Thompson on 01263 826171 or email
