Little Theatre cinema returns with two blockbusters
29th July 2020
Movies are making a comeback to the big screen at the Little Theatre in August – kicking off with an uplifting feel-good film.
Military Wives will be shown at 7.30pm on Friday August 7th as the auditorium opens its doors for the first time since lockdown.
Theatre director Debbie Thompson said: “Our audiences were booking keenly and looking forward to this movie before lockdown, and it is an ideal storyline, about bringing people together, for the return of our cinema.”
Military Wives, starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan, tells the story of women whose partners are serving soldiers in Afghanistan who formed a choir that becomes a media sensation and global movement.
The next planned film – on Tuesday August 18th – is the powerful First World War blockbuster 1917 which follows two young British soldiers on a perilous journey through enemy lines to deliver a vital message which can save thousands of lives.
Audience numbers will be limited so people are advised to book early. Masks must be worn for screenings.
