Sheringham Little Theatre – Lockdown 2 update
3rd November 2020
In line with the latest Government Lockdown, Sheringham Little Theatre and The Hub café will be closing from Thursday November 5.
We hope that the latest measures will see the pandemic ease so that we can reopen again on the forecast end date of Wednesday December 2.
But rest assured we are poised to reopen with a programme of entertainment – including panto at Christmas – as soon as it is safe to do so.
Our November shows are postponed with the aim of re-scheduling them all as soon as possible. People who have bought tickets will have them honoured when a new date is announced. But if anyone does wish for a refund, please email email@example.com
The Hub will remain shut for the duration of the latest lockdown, and theatre staff will again be furloughed.
Rapunzel pantos are still due go to go ahead on December 22, 23 and 24, along a streamed online version for schools on December 16.
The new lockdown is another blow in what has already been a difficult year – but we must look to the longer game of beating the virus. And we are glad to have received recent grant funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund to help us weather the Covid-hit winter.
So we will be back. We hope our supporters and sponsors stay well and safe in the next few weeks, and we look forward to seeing you on the “other side.”
Our first scheduled show after Lockdown 2 is due to be the uplifting 1940s classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life!”
