Geoff and his childhood best mate grew up on Sprowston Road, Norwich. A coal merchant and salesman, they eventually clubbed together to buy their ‘dream horse’. That horse was Sprowston Boy, and it went on to win the final and most coveted race at Royal Ascot ‘87, jockeyed by the first, and only, female to ever win it.
Written by Katie-anna Whiting, the show is based on her grandfather's scrapbook, containing every newspaper article relating to the event.
