Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads Double Bill – A Cream Cracker Under the Settee & A Bed Among the Lentils 

A Cream Cracker Under the Settee – Doris, a widow, lives alone. Refusing to relinquish her independence, she surreptitiously cleans when her home help, Zulema, is absent. When we meet her, she has just fallen over whilstattemptingto dust a picture frame high on the wall.

A Bed Among the Lentils – Susan is not cut out to be the Vicar’s wife. When she meets Mr Ramesh in his shop, she discovers what else life can offer. 

Both the 2:30PM and 7:30PM performances will feature both A Cream Cracker Under the Settee and A Bed Among the Lentils.
