A Toast to The Hub’s Volunteers: Poppyland Radio Recognition for Sheringham Favourite
The Hub at Sheringham Little Theatre is celebrating after being named Runner-Up in the first-ever Poppyland Radio Awards. The much-loved community café, renowned for its friendly atmosphere and theatrical charm, was recognised in the Dining Out Award category — a fantastic honour shared with local favourites Shambles Café, Bar & Bistro in North Walsham, and winners Friends Bistro in Cromer.
The awards ceremony took place last week at The Cliftonville in Cromer, where The Hub was proudly represented by two familiar faces — Jo and Anthea. Regular visitors to The Hub will know them well for their warm smiles, welcoming presence behind the counter and delightful cheese scones! Both were thrilled to attend the event and accept the award on behalf of the whole team.
The Hub expressed heartfelt thanks to Poppyland Radio listeners for their nominations and to the VIP judges for recognising their contribution to the North Norfolk community.
Most importantly, the recognition shines a light on The Hub’s amazing team of volunteers — the true backbone of both The Hub and Sheringham Little Theatre. Their dedication, creativity, and community spirit make every visit a joy. “Without their warmth, dedication and hard work, we simply couldn’t do what we do,” said the team.
Visitors are warmly invited to experience what makes The Hub so special — friendly surroundings, delicious homemade treats, and a little theatrical flavour in every cup.
Pop in to The Hub at Sheringham Little Theatre and enjoy a taste of award-winning community spirit!
