With tunes from the 1920s all the way through to the 1990s expect all your favourite standards – from Cole Porter to Sinatra and Gershwin – and the Hot Desserts distinctive jazz twist on the likes of Stevie Wonder and Van Morrison. Diana Hare’s vocals move from pure clear tones to heartfelt blues. She’s been fronting bands since she was 15, and formed the Hot Desserts 2 years ago. Norfolk born and bred, in between songs she loves to entertain the audience with tales of life in the county. Louis Coates and Ian Hireson on acoustic guitar and bass add infectious energy and rhythm, guaranteed to get your foot tapping. Saxophonist Simon Taylor has played for Hollywood movies and top songwriters and brings his smooth notes and exciting vibrant improvisations to the mix. Drummer James Lewis has spent over 40 years playing at prestigious London clubs with an array of top jazz acts, including Nina Simone.
