Could Your Dog Be Annie’s Sandy?

The Sheringham Little Theatre Players are bringing the much-loved musical Annie to the stage this autumn — and we’ve got a very special role to cast. That’s right, we’re looking for our very own Sandy!

On Saturday 13th September at 10AM, we’ll be holding open dog auditions at Sheringham Little Theatre to find the perfect pooch to join Annie on her journey.

What We’re Looking For

Sandy may not have any lines to sing, but this is a starring role that takes real stage presence! We’re searching for a dog who is:

• Calm and well-behaved

• Great with children (just like Annie herself)

• Comfortable in a crowd and happy to be on stage

And of course, we’ll need the chosen pup’s human to stay with them during rehearsals and performances to help them shine.

Why Sandy Matters

In Annie, Sandy isn’t just a pet — he’s a symbol of hope, loyalty, and unconditional love. When Annie rescues Sandy, she finds a best friend to walk beside her as she dreams of a brighter “Tomorrow.” Whoever takes on this role will help us bring that heartwarming bond to life on stage.
