Ali Baba panto delivers riches to dementia groups
A council panto staged at the Little Theatre magicked up a fabulous amount of cash to help four dementia groups across North Norfolk.
A 15-strong cast from North Norfolk District Council starred in a fun production of Ali Baba and the Four Tea Thieves.
After a successful run of shows in January, the resulting £3107.55 will be split between four dementia charities being supported by council chairman Dr Victoria Holliday during her year of office.
They are So…at Southrepps, Memory Lane Cafe at Mundesley, Wensum Dementia Group at Fakenham, and Making Connections at Hoveton and Wroxham. Well done to the council team who gave up many hours of spare time to prepare and deliver the show, which we were happy to host in our role as a community arts venue.
Our picture shows Lucy Cubitt as Ali, Colin Reuben and Fran Watson inside Sopwith the camel, Sandra King as Arti and Steve Hems as Dame Barbara Baba before a rehearsal at the NNDC offices.
