August so far!

Hello all!

Summer rep is well underway here, getting off to a wonderful start with I am Hamlet. We hope that lots of you got to see it, as it was a real treat to have actors of such calibre performing on our stage and the show was amazing.

Just a little reminder that the dress rehearsals for the rest of the Rep are as follows.

Hound of the Baskervilles- 15th August 2pm

Run for your man- 22nd August 2pm

Private Lives- 29th August 2pm

We hope you will be able to make it and make full use of your volunteer perks.

Some other news..

As announced at Spring Budget 2023, the government will increase the duty rates under the revised duty structure for alcohol products being introduced from 1 August 2023 in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI). This includes all alcoholic products produced in, or imported into, the UK.

This means that our wine prices have had to raise slightly in accordance with this increase.

In happier news, we have two new gins in stock as well as our Gordon’s gins. We have a classic Hendricks and a bright, sweet raspberry gin. Who knows, the raspberry gin might even tempt the sun to make an appearance!

Tonight is Shanty’s opening night, we hope that this will be just as successful as I am Hamlet and that we are going to have another bumper week on the bar.  Thank you to ALL of you that give your time so generously, especially at this time of year when it’s warm and busy.
