Hosting Friends at Christmas

Christmas is all about meeting friends and family for fun and food. So that’s just what we did!

The theatre hosted an evening for its valued Friends, who are a vital part of our supportive family.

After tucking into a buffet people heard an entertaining talk from theatre director Debbie Thompson outlining the venue’s history and her involvement in it, along with an update on the revamp of the Hub café bar next month.

The audience sang and clapped along to a soul and pop session by entertainer Lewis Owen with a show song guest spot from Kristian James from the nearby Sitting Room café.

Friends provide important income for the theatre through their £25 annual subscription, and get a range of benefits including priority booking (a week before the general public), 10pc discount on show, workshop and course tickets (two per event), regular updates, and special evenings – like this one.

A Friends membership could be that ideal stocking filler treat this Christmas!
